Autodistract is a small tool that will passively protect your privacy online by automatically removing tracking cookies as you browse the Web. If you have Growl installed, then Autodistract will inform you when a tracking cookie has been discovered and deleted. Autodistract is small in size, takes only a tiny amount of memory, runs in the background, and cleans your cookies without touching cookies that are genuinely useful, so it is safe to use.

Some of the tracking sites handled by Autodistract include:

Autodistract requires Mac OS X 10.6 or later, and an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU or later. Autodistract only works with Web browsers that use Apple's NSHTTPCookie API for loading and storing cookies, such as Apple Mail and Safari. (In other words, Autodistract doesn't work with Firefox, sorry.) And Autodistract cannot remove session cookies from browsers.
